Ballet is known to be the core foundation in dance, where technique is learnt and formed then carried through all genres of dance. The use of Ballet is developed to focus on the extension of lines through the body, developing strength, control, articulation & performance quality. Safe dance practice and the correct body posture are a focus, as well as the correct alignment. Each dancer has the opportunity to focus on their individual strength and weaknesses working through barre work, centre work, corner work and even pointe, where we introduce diverse classical movements that will challenge the dancer physically and mentally. A fun and challenging dance genre for all ages!
Our Ballet classes follow the Australasian Dance Association (ADA) Syllabus work and students have the opportunity to participate in annual ADA Ballet Dance Examinations.
