Contemporary is an artistic form of expressive dance. With a key focus on the abstract form of Ballet, students will benefit from learning to appreciate dance as an art form. Contemporary is used widely to depict stories through dance. Students attending these classes will learn various forms of choreography and performance techniques, as well as dance routines and pieces of work.
Modern Expressive and Lyrical dance will be explored which is a very broad style, developing a dancers kinaesthetic awareness through movement in space. Students will also gain knowledge of injury prevention and the importance of warm-up, stretch and strengthening sessions.
